“The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying:
“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn
you with unfailing kindness.”
Jeremiah 31:3
Sometimes it is hard to wrap our heads around God’s
love for us.
After all, if you are anything like me, we mess up on
a daily basis.
You see, we value or de-value ourselves on what we do
or fail to do.
But God has unconditionally valued us for all of
eternity.
Long before we ‘did’ anything and long after too, you
have been of a greater value to God than you can dare imagine!
And don’t just quickly pass by that word ‘unconditionally’.
Let the full impact of what it means sink in!
Unconditional is defined as: Not limited in any way: complete and
absolute.
In other words, God values you completely, absolutely
and without limit.
There simply is nothing you can do or fail to do to
change that!
He knows your failures – He values you
unconditionally!
He knows your past – He values you unconditionally!
He knows your future – He values you unconditionally!
He knows what others have said about you and even what
you have said about yourself and guess what?
He values you unconditionally!
That is everlasting and unconditional love.
What a wonderful God we serve!
