Partnering with God

“The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.”

Luke 12:47-48

Jesus was given a little boy’s lunch and He multiplied it to feed thousands.

What have you been given by God?

What have you done with it?

How have others seen or known Him better through what you have been given?

Those are challenging questions to be sure.

But they are questions better asked now rather than later.

“It’s too big for me, I can’t do it!”

That is as it was planned.

It was meant to be a partnership with God.

Jesus was not sent by the Father and then abandoned by Him.

It was through that intimate fellowship between them, as we see in the Gospels, that all He was sent to do was accomplished.

You were never meant to fulfill your calling apart from heaven’s help.

That is why you, we, are called to things greater than ourselves.

Can you answer the questions that were presented a moment ago?

Ask the Father.

He has work for us to do!

But we will not do it alone...
