The Final Word

“...All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me...”

Matthew 28:18

 

All power...

All authority...

Are Yours, are yours, are yours, are yours, are yours!

Those are words we declared as we worshipped Sunday.

If we believe those words then we must be also believe that God has the final word.

He has the final word when it comes to a terror attack in Paris.

He has the final word when it comes to the rise and fall of nations.

But He also has the final word when it comes to your life.

Sometimes it is easier to agree with Gods’ power and authority over a far-away land that it is to acknowledge or surrender to that same power and authority in our personal lives.

That is the intent of the words we pray

“...Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

I certainly would never claim to improve on that prayer but I wonder if it might sometimes help us to remember the point if we prayed:

Thy will be done on earth through me as it is in heaven.

God wants to do His will through you today.

If He lives in you then His power and His authority are also in you to advance His Kingdom.

Let Him have the final word in your life today!
