“Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover
Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name.”
John 2:23
In this verse we see the purpose of signs and wonders.
If anyone could teach us the true purpose of signs and
wonders, who better than Jesus?
His signs always bore fruit.
As a matter of fact, He never performed a sign, wonder or miracle that did not bear fruit.
They were never done to entertain a legion of paparazzi
or build a name for Himself.
Jesus came to reveal the Father.
The Father would glorify the son.
Likewise, each of us need to learn to entrust our “names”
and “reputations” to God.
He is well able to care for us and watch over us.
Better, far better, than we ourselves can.
Follow Jesus’ example.
Don’t puff yourself up.
It is unbecoming to a believer!
