Against All Hope

“Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,”
Romans 4:18-20

Against all hope...
Have you ever faced a strong headwind?
Walking forward can be tough.
Sometimes, just the effort to remain standing up takes all of our energy.
Life can come at us that way too.
Abraham knew that.
The promise of God came smack dab up against the “facts” of his circumstances.
He no longer had the body of a young man – he was nearly 100 years old.
Sarah was also no spring chicken.
Those were the facts – plain and simple!
But those were just the facts.
The facts didn’t stand a chance against the promise of God and the hope we have in those promises.
Maybe you had a promise long ago but the headwinds of life have knocked you off your feet.
Stand up and move forward trusting in those promises of God
Against all hope, in hope believe God!
