Passionate Pursuit

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

John 15:13

 

 

Close your eyes.

Go ahead, close them. You can trust me.

Now with your eyes closed I want you to get a picture in your mind of what you value more than anything else.

Got it?

You can open your eyes now.

Now suppose we could somehow complete this same exercise with God.

Do you know what He would have pictured?

You and me!

That’s right.

He is wild about us.

Some find that hard to believe.

Some refuse to believe it.

Some think it is irreverent to even suggest it.

But His Word tells me otherwise.

He is so in love with each one of us that He gave...

...you know the rest of that verse.

And that is only one of the many verses that speak of His love for His children.

People often speak of a ‘passionate pursuit’ in terms of us seeking God.

But the truth is, He is passionately pursuing you and me.

Let that begin to sink into your spirit.

How great is His love for us!
