Listen for love.
What an odd statement.
How do we listen for love?
We probably have all heard the words, looking for love,
But listening for love; what does that mean?
The Bible tells us: “Be still and know that I am God.”
In that stillness we listen for His voice.
God is love.
As He speaks to us He is speaking love!
Whether His words are words of affirmation, revelation
of correction to us they are always and also words of love.
They are the only words He speaks.
You cannot separate God and His words.
You cannot separate God and love.
His words, no matter how harsh they may seem at the
moment, are words of love.
Perhaps one of the most neglected forms of worship we
can give to God, and one when put into practice honors Him greatly, is just to
be still in His presence and listen for His voice.
Listen for love!
