Foolish or Wise?

“The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.””
Psalm 53:1

It is a fool who declares that there is no God.
A ‘fool’ is not necessarily an uneducated man.
There are many, many well educated people who deny God’s existence.
Their confidence, their trust, their hope and even their worship is in their ‘learning’.
But the man who boasts in human education alone is at a great disadvantage.
God does not despise knowledge but knowledge devoid of His wisdom is of very little value.
We are told in Proverbs 1:7
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”
It has been, and continues to be, a foolish statement to declare that God does not exist.
Those who declare such things are foolish and full of pride.
We only need to look at the creation – it bears testimony of the Creator’s hand.
Look also at man who is fearfully and wonderfully man.
We are not the result of some cosmic mutation repeated over and over through the course of millennia.
We have been created by a loving Father who is intimately involved in our lives.
Through His mercy and His grace we draw our next breath.
Don’t neglect the fellowship God desires to have with you today through His Holy Spirit.
Draw near to Him in worship, honor Him with your lips but also with your obedience.
Give testimony to others, not only by words but through your actions also that God does exist, that He loves you (and them) and that your life bears His image!
The wise man says in his heart, “I love you Lord!”
