“So Jesus called
them over to him and began to speak to them in parables:
“How can Satan
drive out Satan?
If a kingdom is
divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
If a house is
divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
And if Satan
opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.
In fact, no one
can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up.
Then he can
plunder the strong man’s house.
Mark 3:23-27
A divided
kingdom cannot stand.
Nor can an
undefended house.
We can use the ‘weapons’
of Gods’ arsenal against the enemy;
we can aim them
at one another or we can lay them down.
Only one option
makes sense.
When we use them
against one another we cause division within the Kingdom.
Choose to lay
them down and we invite the enemy to enter the house and put us into bondage.
Make no mistake –
God has given us weapons to use.
Those weapons
are effective and powerful when used properly.
Much can be said
of weapons in the hands of an unrighteous man or woman or in the hands of one
not mature in handling them.
A prayer prayed
in the Name of Jesus (one of Gods’ weapons available to us) to see captives set
free is a right and proper use of that weapon.
A prayer prayed
to satisfy my wants (in spite of how ‘spiritual’ I make it sound) but
regardless of the impact to others; is an improper, immature and wasteful use
of the weapon I have been entrusted with.
Let’s not drive
one another out of the Kingdom.
Let’s use the
weapons God has given us to set the captives free from the kingdom of darkness.
Let’s see them
brought into the Kingdom of Light, the Kingdom of Gods’ Son Jesus Christ.
Turn the weapons
on the enemy and not on one another.
