Hold Fast Saints

“Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.

With this in mind,

since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning,

I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,

so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

Luke 1:1-4

“...so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.”

The Bible is filled with truth.

Not fairy tales, not fables, not fictional stories made up long ago.

The author, Luke, who penned the verses above, goes on in this same chapter to tell of the angel Gabriel’s visit to a young virgin named Mary.

Mary was a virgin who conceived of the Holy Spirit and gave birth to Jesus.

That is truth.

If you truly believe it then you may be ridiculed for that belief.

But you can confidently know the certainty of what you have been taught.

Heaven and earth may pass away but the Word of God, that is, the Word of Truth is eternal.

Let others hold to their opinions.

You must hold fast to Gods’ Word.

The world is in a season of great shaking right now.

So much around us is falling away through fear and deceit.

But, let me say it again, hold fast to Gods’ Word.

God’s Word, that you have been taught, is certain in these uncertain times.

It is an anchor for us when all around is sinking sand.

Will you hold fast even when others mock and ridicule?

You are blessed when you make Him and His Word your refuge!
