“All your words are
true; all your righteous laws are eternal.”
Psalm 119:160
We have been learning
about the sovereignty of God by asking a series of questions.
First we asked: “Is
God Sovereign?”
The answer to that
was “Yes!”
Then we asked: “How
does the sovereign God use His power?”
And we discovered that
He has chosen to delegate that power to His children.
So here we are we a
third question:
Does God keep His Word?
Yes!
God keeps Hs word.
Let’s review just a
few of the many scriptures that declare it –
Isaiah 40:8 “The Word
of God stands forever.”
Malachi 3:6 “I the
Lord do not change.”
Matthew 24:35 “Heaven
and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”
Take the time to look
into the Bible and you will find many, many more that declare that God keeps
His Word!
So we have asked and
answered three questions concerning the sovereignty of the King of the Kingdom
and this is how we can summarize it –
God is the chief
being of the universe with the supreme power of the universe and He has
delegated that power through an unchanging decree of His Word!”
God is all wise and
He makes no mistakes.
There is purpose in
all that He does.
We will continue to
look together at His purposes for His children as we explore and learn of the sovereignty
of God.
Let His word dwell in
you richly…
