Ask for Open Eyes

“...Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see..."

II Kings 6:17

Do you believe God created man?

Do you believe God created man with a body, a soul and a spirit?

Do you believe that this physical world is not all there is?

Do you believe that that is a spiritual realm and if we are created as a spirit being that we are not to be ignorant of this realm or what is happening there?

If you answered yes to all of those questions then you must agree that we are to be aware of the Holy Spirit, what He is doing and what He is asking us to do.

Not all that is unseen is good.

There is also an enemy who wants nothing more than to take us out.

Some good news though –

“Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”

Often the works of God and the works of the enemy are unseen with the natural eyes.

If we are born again we have the ability to ‘see’ and ‘hear’ into the spiritual.

We must not go through life only tuned to the physical. 

We need to know what is going on around us spiritually.

Is God redirecting our steps?

Has God forbid us to do or go somewhere?

Countless times we can be spared heartache and pain if we learn to tune into the Holy Spirit and walk, speak and do as He bids us.

Will you ask the Lord to do that?

Will you ask Him to open your eyes and ears today to see beyond what only the natural eyes reveal?

Will you ask Him, as you pray for your neighbor, friend or church, to give you understanding beyond what you ‘know’ through your five senses that you might pray as the Holy Spirit leads?

How different might today become for you if you were aware at every moment what heaven is doing and desires to bring to earth through you?

“Ask and it shall be given to you...”
