“No one serving as a
soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs,
but rather tries to please his commanding
officer.”
II Timothy 2:4
Someone once said – “One
with God is a majority!”
God is building an
army.
It is not one that
finds its strength in bombs, ground troops or intimidation.
The strength of God’s
army is God Himself.
God showed, through
the life of Gideon, how it works.
God had Gideon
intentionally ‘thin the ranks’ so that their victory would not rest in their
numbers.
It would not rest in
their skills, strategies or superior fire power.
It would rest in God
alone.
It is no different
today.
Gods’ army will not
succeed on high tech gadgets or ‘shock and awe’.
We humble ourselves
before Him.
We recognize and see ourselves
as He sees us.
God can use just a
handful of people when those people position themselves in His hand.
Will you be a part of
His army?
Will you humble yourself
before God?
Will you stay in the
place of surrender?
Humility?
Surrender?
Those hardly sound like fighting words we would
expect from an army.
Yet, that is exactly the soldiers God is
recruiting.
Will you let His
might and power flow through you?
