Path of Safety or Trail of Trouble?

“The path of the virtuous leads away from evil;

    whoever follows that path is safe.”

Proverbs 15:5

He is headed for trouble who is headed headlong with evil intent.

But there is an alternative.

The path of the virtuous goes in a different direction, one which leads away from evil.

There is safety for you when you follow the virtuous path.

Whether we are talking virtue as in sexual behavior, business plans or anything else; you can choose a path of safety or a trail of trouble.

I think of those who say they want to live in safety but court wrong directions in their life.

When they reap the consequences they are quick to blame God, not recognizing that they are eating the fruit of the seeds they themselves have sewn.

But those who walk along the path of righteousness live in safety.

They have followed a sure and stable path!
