“The horse is made ready for the day of battle,
but victory rests with the
Lord.”
Proverbs 21:31
Some say, when it comes to spiritual warfare – or for
many facets of our walk with God for that matter – that all we need to do is
sit back, rest and trust in the Lord.
While we certainly do need to trust the Lord they may
want to read the first part of the verse above again.
The horse (considered a primary weapon of warfare in ancient
biblical days) was made ready for the day of battle.
There are some things we can do.
We need to plan and we need to prepare and we need to
commit those plans and preparations to the Lord.
Even our trust in Him does not come by accident.
Ultimately our trust is to be in Him and not in our
preparation and planning.
The wise will recognize both!
