I’m Gonna Let it Shine

 

“See, darkness covers the earth

    and thick darkness is over the peoples,

but the Lord rises upon you

    and his glory appears over you.”

Luke 14:11

You are a marked man.

You are a marked woman.

The Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you.

You are marked as His.

You can go forth into the darkness as a light bearer.

Those who are stumbling in the darkness will benefit greatly from who you are and whose you are!

We, as believers, have a mandate to be the light where there is none.

Maybe for one it is at their place of employment.

Another may be called to show forth His light in the halls and classrooms of their school. (By the way – don’t believe the lie that God was kicked out of school – are you there? Then God is with you in your school!)

Others can faithfully shine in their homes.

Wherever you are and wherever you go, you are light.

They tell us that the moon reflects the light of the sun.

How much greater the impact when you reflect the light of the SON!

Jesus told us not to hide our light under a bushel.

Don’t be ashamed, embarrassed or intimidated to let your light shine.

We all remember that Sunday school chorus:

This little light of mine –

I’m gonna let it shine!
