“The next day John was there again with two of his
disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”
When the two disciples heard him say this, they
followed Jesus. Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do
you want?”
They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are
you staying?”
“Come,” he replied, “and you will see.”
So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was
about four in the afternoon.
Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who
heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. The first thing Andrew did
was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that
is, the Christ).”
John 1:35-42
I know this is a longer portion of scripture in today’s
blog but it is well worth the read.
These disciples would walk with Jesus for the three
years of His earthly ministry.
In that time they would learn much.
They would be afraid on the sea and they would be
amazed at the raising of Lazarus.
Yet in just 24 hours their revelation of who Jesus was
changed from ‘teacher’ to Messiah.
The Lord has revelation to share with you today.
He wants you to know Him in ways you perhaps have not
known Him in the past.
Perhaps you have known Him as Provider but not met Him
as Deliverer.
Maybe He has been the Good Shepherd to you but today
He will reveal Himself as the lover of your soul.
Will you take the time to be with Him?
Will you spend the day with Him?
